Want to get a rower for an apartment, and space is tight.” style=”arrow”]The machine is 3ft wide and 8ft long
Answer #1 on April 18, 2020
Yes! The space will be a little tight to walk around the tank, but you’ll make it with a little bit of clearance to spare. I have mine tucked behind my couch with similar clearance. As long as it’s not a high traffic area, you’ll be fine.
Answer #2 on April 17, 2020
That is more then enough space
Answer #3 on April 17, 2020[/vc_toggle][vc_toggle title=”Are the rails covered with aluminum where wheels slide ? Or made of plastic ?” style=”arrow”]Plastic. I clean them w/damp cloth every so often. No problems so far!
Answer #1 on December 5, 2020
The rails are plastic. I like mine.
Answer #2 on December 7, 2020
It’s plastic but extremely durable. Been using my rower for 10 hours per week on average for many months with no signs of any wear.
Answer #3 on December 5, 2020[/vc_toggle][vc_toggle title=”Does the monitor with the unit have a mini usb port? and what version of the software is the monitor running?” style=”arrow”]Yes, there is a mini-USB type connector located on the back of the monitor. Monitor has most current software version available.
Answer #1 on December 28, 2021[/vc_toggle][vc_toggle title=”Is it okay to use on a thick carpet with a yoga mat underneath?” style=”arrow”]Yes. The rower weighs about 62 lbs and just over 100 lbs with water. So, there will probably be some indentations on the carpet, but nothing permanent. WaterRower also sells a mat. Happy Rowing!
Answer #1 on March 11, 2020
It shouldn’t hurt anything, but you may want an equipment mat instead, as a yoga mat will likely puncture and start to break down under the rower.
Answer #2 on March 11, 2020
I would think so with the mat.
I have mine on thin carpet with nothing underneath and its fine.
Answer #3 on March 11, 2020[/vc_toggle][vc_toggle title=”In the product images, the monitor shows “stored programs“ and “workout programs“ buttons. What do those buttons do?” style=”arrow”]Just what they say but I haven’t found it a convenient program to use.
Answer #1 October 10, 2020[/vc_toggle][vc_toggle title=”Does the monitor have the 2.10 firmware?” style=”arrow”]Yes it does. Required for Ergatta upgrade package if it’s in your future.
Answer #1 on December 29, 2021
Yes. All new machines are already running the latest 2.1 firmware.
Answer #2 on December 28, 2021[/vc_toggle][vc_toggle title=”Are the sides of this also made of wood? It looks like the sides might be metal with a wood-like textured finish to them.” style=”arrow”]It is all wood, including the sides. The only metal parts are the screws and the flywheel. Its a very sturdy and durable wood. The entire thing is solid as a rock.
Answer #1 on December 2, 2019
It is wood (stained black ) with a metal rail on top so that the seat can glide.
You won’t be disappointed in this rower.
Answer #2 on December 2, 2019
It is wood with stain on it. The M1 machine is aluminum.
Answer #3 on December 2, 2019[/vc_toggle][vc_toggle title=”Are there any programmed workouts in it that automatically alter resistance?” style=”arrow”]No. Resistance is all up to you and how you pull. The harder the pull, the higher the resistance.
Answer #1 on October 9, 2020
Not in the model I have. It’s all in how you use it. Its water resistance in the tank, like when you’re out on the water of a lake moving along.
Answer #2 on October 9, 2020
No, resistance is dictated by the water level of the reservoir.
Answer #3 on October 9, 2020[/vc_toggle][vc_toggle title=”What is the length of each workout 15mins?” style=”arrow”]It really depends on what you do and how hard you push. There are workouts ranging from 10 to 60 mins available from all kinds of sources. It’s more about the effort. You can have a strong 10min workout and get your heart rate pumping or you can have a 60 min workout where you get your heart rate up but not nearly to the same level. It’s up to you and whatever programs you follow. I use Apple Fitness+ and I also follow Dark Horse rowing on YouTube.
Answer #1 on October 24, 2021
Depends on how you’re feeling that day. 15 minutes sounds about average but some days we go longer!
Answer #2 on October 24, 2021
They’re customizable to your preference.
