But realistically, how much width space is needed to accommodate the pull down bar and arm movement?” style=”arrow”]The pull down bar is 39″ wide, the Push, Pull, lift arms are 42″ wide. The arms that stick out from the side with the swivel ends and grips are 52″ wide. you need at least a couple of inches of clearance on each side for the machine to fit in. If you plan to use them in a horizontal swinging arc you need about 8″ more on each side to keep your hand from scraping the wall. So a total of about 68″. I have had my unit for about 15 months now and it is working fine.
Answer #1 on April 24, 2019[/vc_toggle][vc_toggle title=”How is this so much larger and heavier than the bsg10x when they look about the same size? what is making this 49“ wide and 835lb?” style=”arrow”]The lat bar us approximately 48″. The weight in the specs is 385 lbs.
Answer #1 on July 8, 2019[/vc_toggle][vc_toggle title=”What is the maximum user weight please? Can my 440 lb boyfriend use?” style=”arrow”]I would say no. Seat material is not designed for that weight.
Answer #1 on May 6, 2019[/vc_toggle][vc_toggle title=”Can you do fly’s with the two side cables?” style=”arrow”]Yes you can.
Answer #1 on May 22, 2019[/vc_toggle][vc_toggle title=”Does this have a preacher attachment?” style=”arrow”]Not exactely. It comes with a 20″ straight bar with padded hand areas that swivels, connected to a 15″ chain that connects at the bottom of the leg extension arm.
Answer #1 on April 24, 2019[/vc_toggle][vc_toggle title=”Is there a per-plate weight coversion table? My current gym jumps 25lbs from one plate to the next on some pulleys. Need more gradual increase.” style=”arrow”]Each plate weighs 10Lb. Except for the top plat where the weight selection rod connects, it weighs 5Lb. Due to its design and the pully set up for the arm side wings the weight is reduced by 50% I just got it Saturday and finished setting it up about an hour ago. Very impressed with construction, detailed instructions and ease of assembly. works very smoothly.
Answer #1 on April 16, 2018[/vc_toggle][vc_toggle title=”Can a leg press be added to this gym?” style=”arrow”]Yes! There is an option to add a leg press. The body solid sku is PLPX.
The Body Solid G10B is a similar set up and comes with the Leg Press
Answer #1 on October 5, 2020[/vc_toggle][vc_toggle title=”Being 6’1“, would I get a full extension using the lat pulldown option? Also, how is the range of motion of the press bar when doing bench press?” style=”arrow”]At 6’1 you should be fine. The seat adjusts to raise/lower and forward/back with plenty of room for just about anyone. The range of motion for the bench press is fairly standard for the machine. It has 8 different angles you can set the press for to work specific workouts including the shoulders and back. I do suggest purchasing some lubricant if you buy this machine.
Answer #1 on April 2, 2019[/vc_toggle][vc_toggle title=”What is the measurement from the seat in its lowest position to the bar above? I very tall so I wonder if my head will hit the bar.” style=”arrow”]44 inches from seat pad to bar. I am 6’1″ and there’s 7 inches of clearance between my head and the bench press bar/arm when seated.
Answer #1 on August 1, 2020[/vc_toggle][vc_toggle title=”What tools will I need to assemble this?” style=”arrow”]It comes with some very cheap basic tools (screw driver, simple wrenches). I found that a 6″ adjustable crescent wrench was helpful along with a plastic mallet to drive the end plugs home.
Answer #1 on July 7, 2021[/vc_toggle][vc_toggle title=”Can you add weight to the 160 lbs” style=”arrow”]yes, you can add 50 more lbs to make it a 210 lb weight stack
Answer #1 on January 29, 2021[/vc_toggle][vc_toggle title=”What is the width of the very top back?” style=”arrow”]The top back of the machine is around 15 inches long, and its about 36 inches long at the top
Answer #1 on April 2, 2019[/vc_toggle][vc_toggle title=”Does this have a preacher attachment?” style=”arrow”]No the gym does not have a preacher attachment.
