The weight of the flywheel is not as crucial in a machine like this as the smooth operation is attributed to the better quality bearings and doesn’t rely on a heavy flywheel to generate inertia like a spin cycle does.
There are magnets around the flywheel to change resistance levels. It keeps these machines running quiet and smooth.
