Is it easy to put together yourself?” style=”arrow”]1.5 hours. Easily accomplished by myself with minimal tools. There are no instructions, only an assembly schematic; however, this is absolutely par for the course with home gym equipment.
Answer #1 on August 18, 2018

I put it together in an hour, the instructions included themselves are vague, I loosely fitted most of the assembly until it was correct them went back to tighten all the bolts. The plastic sleeves which allow the machine to move are difficult to place as they can be assembled incorrectly and and are hard to remove once you put them in place. Overall it can be done with the minimum of tools and experience.
Answer #2 on July 9, 2017[/vc_toggle][vc_toggle title=”Are the weight sleeve extended bars 1 inch or 2 inch Olympic? If 1”, which converter recommend?” style=”arrow”]The unit does not include the Olympic plate adapters. We recommend the Body-Solid 8″ Adapter Sleeve – model OA8. You would need two pieces.
Answer #1 on November 4, 2019[/vc_toggle][vc_toggle title=”Maybe I missed it, but does this machine allow you to do forward and reverse fly?” style=”arrow”]Yes
Answer #1 on November 25, 2014[/vc_toggle][vc_toggle title=”What is the max weight this machine allows you to move?” style=”arrow”]I guess it depends on how strong you are, and how safely you can operate the machine. The most weight I had on is four 20kg plates, and that was pushing myself due to the semi circle tracking motion the machine allows you to move.
Answer #1 on May 16, 2017

I use 3 x 45lbs per side without a problem, and the machine is still moving smoothly.
Answer #1 on May 16, 2017[/vc_toggle][vc_toggle title=”Is this machine comfortable for tall people (I’m 6′ 2“)?” style=”arrow”]It is. I’m 6′ 1″ and my buddy is 6′ 3″ and we haven’t had any issues.
Answer #1 on July 11, 2014[/vc_toggle][vc_toggle title=”Can you work your rear delts with this?” style=”arrow”]Yes having this machine is at home is just like going to the gym. I love it
Answer #1 on December 3, 2013[/vc_toggle][vc_toggle title=”This is for pectoral fly as well, right?” style=”arrow”]Yes, it is primarily for pecs, but can also be used for rear delt flyes
Answer #1 on January 12, 2015[/vc_toggle][vc_toggle title=”What is the thickness of the frame?” style=”arrow”]The frame is a 2″ x 2″ high-tensile strength steel frame.
Answer #1 on December 30, 2016[/vc_toggle][vc_toggle title=”Which weight set and/or brand does this work with?” style=”arrow”]The Body-Solid GPM65 Plate Loaded Pec Machine comes with standard sized weight posts that will accept plates with a 1″ diameter center hole. If you utilize Olympic weight adapter sleeves with the machine, you can then use Olympic plates with a 2″ diameter center hole.
Answer #1 on July 19, 2016[/vc_toggle][vc_toggle title=”Does this machine allow you to do a butterfly type motion where you bring the arms together or is it just a push out motion?” style=”arrow”]Your arms move in a semi circular motion from rear to front. So the answer to your question is yes they do come together in the front on a butterfly motion. It is a very smooth operation, with no jerking and the path is locked in so you cannot injure yourself.
Answer #1 on May 19, 2016[/vc_toggle][vc_toggle title=”Are the arms ajustable so that they dont go back as fair? Also does this machine hurt your shoulders any using it once or twice a week?” style=”arrow”]The arms have 6 adjustment positions so yes they can be set so you don’t have to reach back too far. It doesn’t hurt your shoulders. You control how many plates you put on it. I use it 3 or 4 times per week starting with 40 pounds and up to 70 pounds with my last set…and I’m 60. So no worries.
Answer #1 on May 13, 2014[/vc_toggle][vc_toggle title=”What is the height? (from bottom to top)” style=”arrow”]Assembled height of the Body-Solid GPM65 Plate Loaded Pec Machine is 65 inches.
Answer #1 on March 4, 2017[/vc_toggle][vc_toggle title=”Is it possible to adjust ( lower) the arms so that tall people can avoid to contact their head with the top ( over the head)?” style=”arrow”]You can’t adjust the height of the arms but you can adjust the seat. I have a friend of mine that trains on mine and he’s 6’4″ and has no problems with it.
