Answer #1 on November 11, 2015[/vc_toggle][vc_toggle title=”Since the stacks have numbers instead of pounds, how do you know how much weight you’ve selected?” style=”arrow”]The Body-Solid GDCCC200 Functional Training Center utilizes 10 pound plates. So, if you multiply each number by 10 you would have the weight selected on the stack. For instance, selecting “10” means there would be 10 plates x 10 lbs = 100 lbs. Keep in mind that the weight ratio is 1/2:1 for each stack due to the cable pulley ratio, so 100 pounds of weight selected will actually be 50 pounds of functional weight while in use.
Answer #1 on April 22, 2016[/vc_toggle][vc_toggle title=”Can you add more weight to this machine? The example appears to have spacers under the weight stack.” style=”arrow”]You can only add weight stacks made from Body-Solid.
Answer #1 on November 30, 2017[/vc_toggle][vc_toggle title=”How do you get the squat bar into starting position with a heavy load?” style=”arrow”]The optional bar attaches to the adjustable pulley system on each side of the system. You would attach the bar and then set the adjustable pulley carriages at the right height so that the bar sits on your shoulders tightly when you are at the lower end of your squat position. This is done before you start your exercise, do not try to adjust it as you are using the system. By the way, the press bar that is used for squats is an option that must be purchased in addition to this Functional Trainer.
Answer #1 on September 17, 2014[/vc_toggle][vc_toggle title=”Which accessories are included?” style=”arrow”]This item comes with a pair high-density foam rubber handgrip handle attachments.
Answer #1 on April 4, 2020[/vc_toggle][vc_toggle title=”How far apart are the pulleys? How high are the pulleys at the highest adjustment level?” style=”arrow”]The Body-Solid GDCC200 has a 60″ pulley to pulley distance apart. The height of the pulleys over the floor at the highest adjustment is 68″
Answer #1 on October 7, 2016[/vc_toggle][vc_toggle title=”How would you rate the smoothness of operation compared to a typical commercial setup?” style=”arrow”]It is just as smooth as the best commercial machines I have used. It’s even better than some.
Answer #1 on December 6, 2016[/vc_toggle][vc_toggle title=”I’m getting a cable machine. what style of exercise bench have you found to be most useful? flat? chairlike? flat/chairlike convertible? other?” style=”arrow”]Find a FID bench. That is a Flat, Incline, Decline bench. You want one that is versatile as you can change the pulley location on the functional trainer which will allow you to perform a lot of different exercises.
Answer #1 on April 12, 2019[/vc_toggle][vc_toggle title=”Are the weights hard steel outer or wrapped rubber?” style=”arrow”]They are steel.
Answer #1 on April 22, 2018[/vc_toggle][vc_toggle title=”Can you perform upper /lower lat pull exercises?” style=”arrow”]Yes you could either by sitting on a bench in the middle and pulling from the pulleys in a raised position or you could get a lat bar attachment and use it from one side.
Answer #1 on April 8, 2016[/vc_toggle][vc_toggle title=”Is this unit wide enough for a 6’4“ man to do cable crossovers or would it be worth getting the DCC250 instead?” style=”arrow”]If you want this to feel just like a commercial cross-over in the gym you would need the 250. You can still get a very effective fly / cross-over motion with this unit.
I’m always a little hesitant to answer questions like this, because everyone has a different standard for what they are looking for/ happy with.
Answer #1 on September 25, 2016[/vc_toggle][vc_toggle title=”How tall is this unit” style=”arrow”]The manufacturer Body-Solid advertises the assembled dimensions of the GDCC200 at 42.3″ W x 72.5″ L x 83.8″ H.
