Can the leg press be locked in some way?” style=”arrow”]This bench’s leg extension has a locking mechanism so your legs will be stay in place.
Answer #1 on October 2, 2017
The leg developer has 2 locking pins. One for height and one to keep the leg from swinging.
Answer #1 on September 27, 2017[/vc_toggle][vc_toggle title=”How wide is the seat?” style=”arrow”]The seat is tapered. The widest part is about 14-3/8″. The narrow part is 10-7/16″.

Answer #1 on September 27, 2017[/vc_toggle][vc_toggle title=”Does the leg attatchment detach easily when not in use?” style=”arrow”]Yes, the leg developer is fully removable
Answer #1 on January 26, 2018[/vc_toggle][vc_toggle title=”Does this bench have a related preacher curl attachment?” style=”arrow”]The FID46 does not take a preacher attachment but the GFID71 and the GFID31 will take the attachment.
Answer #1 on April 4, 2016[/vc_toggle][vc_toggle title=”Can you stand this up to store it?” style=”arrow”]No. It’s is a solid piece that does not move. Just the padded seat moves.
Answer #1 on May 28, 2019[/vc_toggle][vc_toggle title=”In addition to have the front of the seat adjusted flat and up, can the seat be moved back and forth or it is set in one position?” style=”arrow”]It does not move back and forth. It does angle up when in the military press position. I would imagine the max weight load of anything that did move back and forth would likely make it a questionable purchase. In my case, my 230 lb body weight combined with a 200 lb max bench press puts me 130 lbs over the max load of most home weight benches. My prior bench did break under load. The leg extension has several adjustments (feet position and height) which may solve the problem for which you are asking this question about.
Answer #1 on May 4, 2022[/vc_toggle][vc_toggle title=”I’m 5’4“, will I have any trouble reaching the ankle pads for leg curls?” style=”arrow”]They are fully adjustable so you shouldn’t have any issue reaching the pads.
Answer #1 on July 5, 2017
Not at all, they’re adjustable. It does sit a little high in the flat bench position. But I like to put my feet on top of the bench to incorporate my stabilizer muscle.
Answer #1 on July 4, 2017[/vc_toggle][vc_toggle title=”Does the leg attachment only take Olympic plates?” style=”arrow”]It’s got a collar that makes it thicker for Olympic plates. You don’t have to attach it, so it would be fine for smaller plates.
Answer #1 on March 5, 2014
It comes with an adaptor so you can use both types.
Answer #2 on March 6, 2014[/vc_toggle][vc_toggle title=”I’m 6’1“ anyone use the leg extension and curl have any issues? I’m constantly having issues with my heels hitting the bar during leg extensions” style=”arrow”]I am 6’3” and had to raise the height of the leg extension attachment, put the incline in the next to the last hole(so not to be upright). This allowed me to shift back a bit. Note I do not lean back on the incline. Once my rear is shifted back I actually sit upright. Doing this I have no issues with hitting any of the bars.
Answer #1 on November 22, 2021
I am 6’4″ with most of my length in my legs. I just raise the height of the leg device with the included pin.
Answer #2 on November 22, 2021[/vc_toggle][vc_toggle title=”Height of seat pad in flat position? I think I saw 22.5“ somewhere but that seems very high.” style=”arrow”]17″ to underneath the pad & 19 1/4″ to top of pad

Answer #2 on November 22, 2021[/vc_toggle][vc_toggle title=”Can the leg extension be removed and install a preacher attachment?” style=”arrow”]Yes, the leg extension is removable, but the preacher curl attachment is not compatible.
Answer #1 on January 7, 2019[/vc_toggle][vc_toggle title=”Does the bench have wheels, or is it hard to move around?” style=”arrow”]It does not have wheels. If you wanted to move it very far regularly by yourself, it could be challenging. However, it is the best weight bench I have ever used. If you are lifting over 100 pounds and you weigh over 200, you are exceeding many weight bench’s maximum weight. The high end I saw outside of this and a few other benches had a maximum of 350 pounds.
Answer #1 on June 2, 2015[/vc_toggle][vc_toggle title=”Does this include the leg extension/curl attachment?” style=”arrow”]Hi, yes it does.
Answer #1 on January 18, 2022[/vc_toggle][vc_toggle title=”Can a 45lbs olympic plate work on the leg attachment without the weight hitting the floor while in motion?” style=”arrow”]We can’t say for certain unless we know the size or dimensions of your 45 lb olympic plate. However a great majority of 45 lb olympic plates are a standard size and those have no issue whatsoever with the weight hitting the floor with this machine..
Answer #1 on August 4, 2017[/vc_toggle][vc_toggle title=”What is the actual weight capacity? Is it 600lbs or 1000lbs?” style=”arrow”]Per manufacturer specs this has a 600 lb. weight capacity.
Answer #1 on April 19, 2021[/vc_toggle][vc_toggle title=”What is the max lbs on the leg extension.” style=”arrow”]The leg extension/leg curl attachment on the Body-Solid FID46 Flat Incline Decline Bench is rated to 150 pounds maximum capacity.
